Minute book and scrapbooks, 1928-1959.

Collection consists of: A volume of minutes dating from the first meeting of the club in 1928 to 1942; a scrapbook album containing 65 photographs (and some prints) of Beacon Hill gardens and Mass. Horticultural Society Flower Show exhibits and awards, 1929-1935, particularly featuring the gardens of club officers Gertrude B. Bourne (founder and first president) and Eleanor Raymond (treasurer), Mrs. Robert Cushman, Mrs. Charles Norton, and others, with a packet of postcards of Garden Club members' gardens from the 1950s; a scrapbook album of 61 photographs, ca. 1930s of Beacon Hill gardens and the 1930 Mass. Horticultural Society Flower Show. With a copy of Hidden gardens of Beacon Hill (Boston, 1959) and 17 original photographs by Clemens Kalischer.
